'Little Buttons' Pendant, silver, July 2008
Some shapes I made whilst playing with the doming block the other day, I've been leaving things finished in the raw white state lately - it emphasizes the form more and makes jewellery really stand out when worn.
I'm probably doing too many things at once these days but hey ho. I make jewellery, mainly working in silver, and at the moment am dreaming about the day I can start making some automata (always gets put off 'til another day). I restore clock dials for the family clock making business, and make various little decorative bits of metalwork like fingers or anything that needs gold leaf. I do a few hours a week in the local college teaching jewellery as part of the BTEC Design and Foundation Degree courses which I love, it's quite inspirational and keeps the brain ticking over.
