Daffodil Earrings, Silver, 2008.
A comission I've just finished, some daffodil earrings using a similar wire technique to a bangle I made for the same customer. I'm pleased with the final result, and will probably use this technique again.
I'm probably doing too many things at once these days but hey ho. I make jewellery, mainly working in silver, and at the moment am dreaming about the day I can start making some automata (always gets put off 'til another day). I restore clock dials for the family clock making business, and make various little decorative bits of metalwork like fingers or anything that needs gold leaf. I do a few hours a week in the local college teaching jewellery as part of the BTEC Design and Foundation Degree courses which I love, it's quite inspirational and keeps the brain ticking over.
